Carlos Johnson, a distinguished healthcare professional with over 17 years of experience, is the founder and CEO of Safe Harbor Home Healthcare, established in 2020. Renowned for his leadership, expertise, and unwavering dedication to excellence, Carlos has transformed Safe Harbor into a premier provider of patient-centered, home-based care services. His commitment to redefining healthcare standards has made Safe Harbor synonymous with compassion, professional integrity, and innovative service delivery. Carlos began his career in healthcare in 2007, demonstrating a natural ability to excel in the field. By 2010, he had transitioned into case management, where he gained valuable experience coordinating care for individuals in residential treatment facilities and inpatient intensive treatment units. These early years shaped his passion for patient advocacy and delivering tailored solutions to meet complex healthcare needs. In 2015, Carlos earned his nursing license, which he has maintained in good standing, a testament to his commitment to clinical excellence and ethical practice. As a licensed nurse, Carlos developed extensive expertise across diverse nursing specialties, including psychiatry, detox, medical-surgical nursing, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and long-term care (LTC). His ability to navigate these demanding fields with precision, compassion, and a solutions-oriented approach has distinguished him as a trusted leader in the industry. Over the course of his career, Carlos has held several influential leadership roles, including Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Director of Nursing. In these positions, he demonstrated an exceptional capacity for leading multidisciplinary teams, optimizing healthcare operations, and ensuring quality outcomes. His leadership style is defined by his strategic vision, commitment to staff development, and unwavering focus on providing exceptional patient care. In 2020, inspired by his desire to redefine the standard of home healthcare, Carlos founded Safe Harbor Home Healthcare. Drawing from his extensive clinical and managerial experience, he built a company grounded in personalized care plans, rigorous staff training, and a culture of accountability. Shelia Green-Johnson, RN is the Director of Health and Wellness at Safe Harbor Home Healthcare, a position she has held since 2020. With over 35 years of experience in healthcare, Shelia finds her work incredibly rewarding. As Director of Health and Wellness, she has the opportunity to collaborate with DODD families across Ohio.
Shelia is responsible for promoting and overseeing health education and compliance for employees, families, and clients. Her efforts are aimed at enhancing the day-to-day experience for both staff and clients.
During her career, Shelia has spent over half her time as a charge and floor nurse specializing in women’s health, including Mother/Baby, Labor & Delivery, and Pediatrics. Her extensive experience has allowed her to care for patients from all walks of life, enriching her perspective and passion for providing exceptional healthcare services.

Monique Christian-Long, MLIS, is the Director of Organizational Development for Safe Harbor Home Healthcare. She plays a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s organizational strategies, information management, and leadership development. With a diverse leadership portfolio spanning libraries, nonprofits, and higher education, Monique brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to her role.
Monique holds a Master of Library and Information Science with a focus on Archives and Records Management from North Carolina Central University and a Bachelor of Arts in Nonprofit and Public Administration from the University of Toledo. Currently pursuing a doctorate in organizational theory in higher education, she is committed to advancing her knowledge and expertise to drive innovative and effective organizational practices.

During her time at Rocky Knowles Nursing Home in Akron, she played a pivotal role on the COVID-19 unit, demonstrating resilience and unwavering dedication to patient care. Lillie’s academic accomplishments include an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting, earned with distinction from Brown Mackie College in 2014, and a Patient Care Technician certification obtained from Adult Vocational in 2004. She is responsible for overseeing and ensuring high-quality client care delivery, fostering a client-centered environment that prioritizes dignity, respect, and choice for clients. Committed to Safe Harbor’s mission and values, Antynia is excited to guide the organization into its next phase of growth, ensuring continued excellence in client care and staff development.
In her role, Antynia provides hands-on training to staff on client- specific needs, including care techniques and safety protocols, while conducting regular assessments of staff performance to identify opportunities for improvement. With over 14 years of clinical and leadership experience gained at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Centers for Dialysis Care, she brings extensive expertise and dedication to her work.
Antynia began her healthcare career as a Medical Assistant and later obtained her Certification in Hemodialysis through the Ohio Board of Nursing. For eight years, she worked in a clinical setting, serving patients with care and compassion. She then transitioned into leadership roles, serving as a Department Work Leader in Family Medicine and in Revenue Cycle Management, all while pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration.

Angela Garcia is a dedicated healthcare professional with 13 years of experience in the medical field, recognized for her compassion and extensive knowledge in serving patients and families. Angela has serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO at Safe Harbor Home Healthcare. In this role, she utilizes her diverse background to enhance organizational efficiency and support healthcare delivery.
Angela’s professional journey includes extensive clinical experience across diverse healthcare environments, where she gained expertise in departments such as MedSurg, Neuro Stroke Unit, COVID Floor, Psychiatric Floor, Emergency Department, and Peri-Anesthesia Surgical OR. This exposure provided her with a deep understanding of medical protocols and interdisciplinary teamwork. Additionally, her previous roles as an Executive Assistant allowed her to refine her administrative and management skills, enabling her to effectively support high- level executives and manage complex tasks.
Angela earned an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting from Sanford Brown College, graduating at the top of her class in 2012. She furthered her education with a Bachelor of Business Management from Herzing University in 2015 and is currently pursuing a Paralegal Degree at Akron University.
As the mother of a child with special needs, Angela’s personal experiences have deepened her empathy and commitment to assisting individuals with significant disabilities. Her passion for helping others makes her a compassionate advocate for both patient care and organizational excellence.

Shaquita Harmon, LPN M-IV, is the Project Coordinator at Safe Harbor Healthcare. With over a decade of nursing experience since 2013, Shaquita specializes in home care, particularly for pediatric clients who are medically fragile or have developmental delays.
Shaquita began her career as an independent provider, discovering her passion for working with families in need. She has also held positions such as Nurse Manager and Managing Director, gaining valuable experience in both clinical and administrative aspects of home care. Her leadership includes overseeing compliance audits, medication audits, and the application for ACHC Certification.
As the Director of Client Services, Shaquita ensures compliance with county, state, and federal regulations while collaborating with the Director of Health and Wellness for staff training. She is committed to guiding Safe Harbor Home Healthcare into its next phase of growth and is excited about the organization’s future.

She also works as a Patient Services Specialist at The Cleveland Clinic and previously she worked as an educational aide in public schools. Jacqueline has a deep passion for helping others and advocating for patients, with a particular focus on individuals with Down syndrome. Her commitment is deeply personal, inspired by her experience growing up with a brother who has Down syndrome and serving as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in his care. This background equips Jacqueline with a unique ability to treat all patients with the same care, respect, and dignity she provides her own family. Her dedication and compassionate approach make her a dynamic leader and a valuable asset to the Safe Harbor team.
